Exhibition Submissions

Dittmar Mission & Criteria
Dittmar Memorial Gallery at Norris University Center is an exhibition space and gathering place inviting the Â鶹´«Ã½ community to meaningfully interact with art from varying perspectives.
Through rotating exhibitions by emerging artists in the Evanston and Chicagoland area, partnerships with organizations and departments across the university, and a permanent collection, Dittmar prompts interdisciplinary dialogue through intentional engagement with the arts.

Please note: we are not able to accommodate international artists at this time.

2025-2026 Exhibition Submissions

2026-27 submissions are now open.

Submitting Your Art

Dittmar Memorial Gallery welcomes submissions through a formal review process. Each May, the submissions committee meets to review submissions and select a season of artists for the following academic year. The submission form will require the following:

  1. Artist Information
    1. Name, Email Address, Mailing Address, Phone Number
    2. Website (if applicable), Social Media (if applicable)
    3. Artist Statement (150-300 words)
    4. Resume or CV
  2. Proposal Information
    1. Exhibition proposal (150-300 words)
    2. 5 high resolution images applicable to the exhibition proposal
    3. Work list for the images (including title, medium, size, and year)
    4. Statement of relevance to Dittmar’s mission (150-300 words)
