Finding Connection Through Disagreement

The Litowitz Center for Enlightened Disagreement and the Division of Student Affairs have partnered on a pilot program, introducing undergraduate students to idea of harnessing the power of disagreement for good. From improv exercises to serious discussions, more than 220 students will participate in the program over the next year, becoming more comfortable engaging in conversations with others they disagree with and sharing their own perspectives with confidence.

Norris Arts & Craft Fair: 11/14

Stop by Norris on Nov. 14 between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. for the annual Arts & Crafts Fair. Ceramics, jewelry, paintings, crochet and other kinds of art will be available for purchase at a variety of price points—perfect for decorations or gifts. Themed crafts will also be available for guests to make. View previous vendors , and stop by on Friday to check out this year’s selection.

Accessing & Donating to Purple Pantry

Purple Pantry is Âé¶¹´«Ã½’s on-campus food pantry for students experiencing food insecurity located at 1835 Hinman. To contribute, drop off donations during the pantry on Thursdays (11 a.m. to 1 p.m.) or schedule a drop-off by emailing purplepantry@northwestern.edu.

The pantry
accommodates individuals with vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, kosher and halal dietary needs, so please keep these products in mind when donating. Other resources around the Evanston area can be found

Find a Spiritual Direction at Âé¶¹´«Ã½

Spiritual Direction is a one-on-one space to explore life’s big questions of meaning, purpose, identity, or whatever’s on your mind. It’s open to all backgrounds whether you are religious or not. Sessions last about 45 minutes, once a month, and may include conversation, silence, and reflection. It offers you the chance to pause, pay attention to your inner world, and stay grounded during the rush of college life. Learn more and schedule a preliminary session.

Do you want to improve your overall health and well-being, but just don't know where to start? Wellness Coaching can help!

Wellness Coaching is a collaborative, non-judgmental process that can help you identify and achieve your health and wellness goals, balance dimensions of health and wellness, and learn practical skills to improve overall well-being. Coaches work with you to build on your strengths and support you in creating sustainable plans to achieve your wellness goals. 


 

Request a NU Bystander Training

NUBI (Âé¶¹´«Ã½ Bystander Intervention) is an initiative that aims to create a safer, more caring, and supportive community by engaging all students, faculty and staff and asking them to play a role in shifting our campus culture.

Bystander intervention is a 90-minute training that was developed to help people identify and interrupt moments of harm or potential harm. The training is intended to help empower people observing a situation to know how they can take an active role in intervening to stop immediate harm, and ideally future harm, from happening.

Red Watch Band Alcohol Bystander Intervention Trainings

This training will provide you with the knowledge and skills needed to identify, prevent, and intervene effectively in an alcohol-related medical emergency. You’ll also learn about how alcohol affects our physiology and behavior, signs and symptoms of alcohol poisoning, and the truth behind common alcohol-related myths. !


CSAW's Opioid Overdose Prevention and Naloxone Training

This one-hour training is for students who are interested in being trained to administer Narcan (naloxone). Attendees will learn how to recognize signs of an opioid overdose, identify when it is appropriate to use Narcan, learn how to administer Narcan to an individual they believe is experiencing an overdose, and identify additional emergency steps to take. All attendees will receive a two-pack of Narcan upon completion of the training.

Trainings will be offered at least two times a quarter. More trainings may be scheduled if there is increased demand. !


 

Love Data Visualization Contest Office Hours

November 18, 10:00 AM-12:00 PM, Mudd Library, Small Classroom 2124

Students are invited to participate in the Data Visualization championship. Cash prizes will be awarded: 1st ($250), 2nd ($150), or 3rd ($75). Office hours for questions, will be available in person on November 18, 2025, from 10 AM to 12 PM, and on January 8, 2026, from 1–3 PM in the Mudd Library small classroom 2124. Entries are due on January 14, 2026.
