Accommodations for Students in the Process
Pursuant to Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (Section 504), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and applicable state laws, Â鶹´«Ã½ will reasonably accommodate students who require modifications or adjustments on the basis of a disability, unless a |fundamental alteration or undue hardship applies.
Students seeking a disability accommodation for the UHAS process must register and request an academic accommodation with AccessibleNU (ANU) where the Associate Dean of Students or designee will review the accommodation request.
When requesting disability-related accommodations, students are responsible for: initiating an accommodation request through ANU; engaging in the interactive process and following ANU’s procedures; and for promptly communicating with ANU if an accommodation is needed or there is a concern about an accommodation’s implementation. For more information on how to register and request accommodations, please visit the AccessibleNU website.

Grievance Procedures
Â鶹´«Ã½ has adopted internal grievance procedures for prompt, equitable, and impartial resolution of grievances alleging any action prohibited by the ADA or Section 504. If a student wishes to challenge ANU’s determination on an accommodation request made pursuant to a UHAS process, the student should file a grievance with the ADA Coordinator at the earliest opportunity. The ADA Coordinator may be contacted by phone or email through the NU-OCR.
