On July 17, 2026, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security published a that establishes a fixed time period of admission and an extension of stay procedure that impact students and scholars on F-1 and J-1 visas. The rule is anticipated to take effect Sept. 15, 2026. While Â鶹´«Ã½ analyzes this complex rule, we are working to update our website and communicate guidance as quickly as possible. - Undergraduate Students
- The move-in date is September 13. Undergraduate students registered for IWW do not need to apply for the early move-in fee. However, if you register for IWW and wish to move into your residence hall before September 13, you must register for early arrival and pay the applicable nightly early move-in fee.
- Undergraduate students are required to live in university housing for the first two years of their program. View the Residential Services Dates of Note page to learn about housing options, important dates, and deadlines.
- Graduate Students
- Residential Services offers three residence halls for graduate students. Learn more about graduate housing, costs, and the application process.
- Graduate students may move into graduate housing beginning September 8.
