Form 1098-T

1098-T Tuition Statement

As an eligible educational institution, Â鶹´«Ã½ is required by the Internal Revenue Service to file annually Form 1098-T Tuition Statement for each student who is a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or resident alien pursuing a degree, and for whom a reportable transaction is made (payments toward qualified tuition and related expenses, and any scholarships or grants received). This information is provided to assist taxpayers in determining eligibility for claiming Education Tax Credits or Deductions enacted by the Taxpayer Relief Act of 1997.

The 1098-T Tuition Statement is provided to each student who paid qualified tuition and related expenses during the previous year. It includes financial information, such as tuition charges, scholarships received, and payments made, which you may need for either education credits or a tuition deduction on your federal tax returns.

If you made no payments during the calendar year, you will not receive a 1098-T (for example, students who received scholarships and grants equal to or greater than the cost of tuition and fees).

Note:  To assist us in processing your 1098-T statement, please confirm your address and your social security number or taxpayer identification number are correct in CAESAR.  Undergraduate students, please confirm your permanent address, and Graduate students, please confirm your current address.
